Truth behind YouTube Exposure
Modern day Internet success seems the main building block in wannabe stars development. Justin Bieber who shot to worldwide stardom after a series of YouTube videos which lead to interest from people like Justin Timberlake and Usher who signed him to his label.

Another example of this is Susan Boyle, her audition on the Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 became an internet sensation and got 45 million views, it made her massive in America and her a

Success came Chris Crocker who made an emotional video about the treatment of Britney Spears which received over 40 million views in 2010, which lead to him having over 400 thousand subscribers and his own clothing line and website, not forgetting the television appearances.
But not all of it is positive when you look in the case of Rebecca Black. The 13 year old singer’s management company released her debut single on YouTube; the official video was the highest viewed video in 2011

But these were not for positive reasons. Despite getting over 180 million views and over 400 thousand likes she received over 3 million dislikes and hate mail. She even got threats on her life when two people emailed and called her management team to say they would kill her if they didn’t remove the video. Which got it removed then relisted.
But talent isn’t always the most important factor in getting viral success. YouTube have stated that they know when a video is about to go viral, so they can manipulate their home page and search bar so that you find the video easily, so they can have a massive impact on views.

Another method I just knowing how to tag yourself correctly can get you viral success in the case of people trying to get themselves out there will tag their videos with a big artists name and get success that way. Shane Dawson has his own chain of videos which got him a motion picture film, due to him becoming the most subscribed person on YouTube, with almost 2.5 million subscribers. I guess his tactics worked.
